More than anything, you need to be aware of what you’re working with, and possibly, how much food will be on the table. Try to first measure the table you have, and see how much of it can be decorated. This way, you’ll know how much space you’ll be allotting for decor and food, and lessen potential headaches caused by cluttered and disorganized tables.

2. Clean your china or silverware.

Whether you’re bringing out your finest china or silverware or sticking with what you have, make sure they’re thoroughly cleaned and shiny.
